Since 2016, the artist has been developing a project whose raw material consists of residues from the steel and mining industries, such as steelmaking aggregate—a coproduct generated during steel production, sourced from a steel plant in Ipatinga. Based on an авторial research process into this material, Rosane developed paints for the creation of paintings, produced three-dimensional objects, and began exploring the residue in its raw form as well. This investigation gave rise to the project Agregando Arte (Adding Art), which brings together art, sustainability, and the creative economy. The initiative consists of a course aimed at a group of women and, in addition to producing sustainable handcrafted pieces, seeks to promote technical training, professional positioning, and the generation of work and income.

Rosane Dias is a member of the AVVA Collective, a group formed by artists from the Vale do Aço that brings together a multiplicity of languages, including painting, illustration, photography, video art, and performance. She also leads painting workshops using sustainable paints in the projects Histórias do Aço (Stories of Steel) in Ipatinga, Minas Gerais, and Histórias da Mineração (Stories of Mining) in Itatiaiuçu, Minas Gerais, in addition to working on other cultural projects and events.
